The Makita 18 Volt LXT® cordless straight shear kit contains XSJ01Z 18 Volt LXT® 18 ga straight shear, two BL1850B 18 Volt LXT® Lithium-Ion 5 Amp-hour batteries, DC18RC 18 Volt LXT® Lithium-Ion rapid optimum charger, tool bag. Straight shear features Makita built 4-pole motor that delivers 3,000 SPM for faster cutting. It has tough double-cut shear design that allows cutting up to 18 ga of mild steel and 20 ga of stainless steel without deforming the material. Shear has swivel shear head that rotates to 360 degree to offer optimum cutting options and added convenience. Tool powered by an 18 Volt Lithium-Ion slide style battery assures fastest charge time, more working time and minimal sitting time on the charger. This shear with battery, weighs only 5.3 lb and has rubberized soft grip handle that reduces user fatigue and provides increased comfort on the job. Straight shear featured with Star Protection Computer Controls™, allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time. This Star Protection communication technology also monitors condition while in use to safeguard against overloading, over discharging and overheating.
